Eight years of inconsequential waffling

Hello blogosphere ( Hello yourself )  -  I've  just dropped by to mark the totally irrelevant occasion of the 8th anniversary of this 'ere blog. It only seems like yesterday etc etc...
Although this has been the Year Of The Great Blog Drought due to boring technical reasons ( not having a working PC being the main one ) I still intend to return to active blogging duty at some point in the future. There's been loads of good stuff going on in 2016 that I should have written about and I've really missed blogging. I've managed to catch up with some of you lovely people via the wonders of Facebook but it isn't quite the same.
Anyway, to any of you out there in blogspace who still visit The Glass Walking-Stick  -  thanks for looking in and hopefully there will be more wafflings to come...
Peace.

' Inconsequential waffling '? Sounds like that lost prog rock album by Peter Gabriel & Rick Wakeman. With a cover by Roger Dean. Just me, then.

Hi Simon, hope you're still well and look forward to your posts, whenever you're ready.

Thanks for the kind words, guys - much appreciated. This may only be a slight return but hopefully there will be more to come...

Waffling is good and all the more impressive when its been done for 8 years - I regularly pop buy for a read. 2016 was indeed a good year...and a bad one as well (we lost the Ziggy and so many others) I suppose all years are like that. Anyway have a great Christmas and New Year when they come and "lang may yer lum reek" -( bear with me on that one , we Scots are obliged to say that at this time of year)

Thanks Paul. I'm glad there's something here of interest for you. I do wonder sometimes if blogging is a thing of the past in this age of Twitter, Instagram etc so it's good to hear from people with more than a three-second attention span ☺
BTW I'm not sure what a lum is but I'm sure mine would reek if I asked it to...

lol a "lum" is a chimney (basically it means long may you have coal in your fireplace to keep you warm - ie reek of smoke etc ) - ahhh the "Broons" have taught us all so much !

But they clearly haven't taught me anything... :-)
Thanks for the info, Paul. That's actually a lovely little saying. I hope you and yours also have a great Christmas and New Year. Take care.
