And then these guys turn up:
NERD: bringing the noise, Pharrell prowling the stage like a panther, everyone wave their hands in the air, everyone SCREAM, jump up and down, Paaaaarrrtttyyy!!
The Zutons: Scouse nutters, great tunes, Abi on sax, harmonies and melodies, Zuton Fever!

More fun than Snow Patrol.....

Dear Reader, there was previously a lovely photo of Abi from the Zutons here but somebody complained that it was infringing on their copyright so I've removed it. I now seem to be on some copyright infringement list with people who produce posts with titles like "Six porn stars show how to suck some mean dick" - obviously my sharing a photo of the comely saxophonist ( on a blog that has no commercial profile and is just here for entertainment ) is in the same league. Here are some words from the Google Overlords on the subject:

I was at that festival, of the day of the Pixies. I was dissappointed by the Pixies. I'm not sure why, I expected something...more. Maybe it was the atmosphere of V. I find it stale and horrible.
I was shocked by how old the pixies looked but that's me being daft, not a fault of theirs.
I also saw scissor sisters, well I heard them. I was drunk by this point so was sat on the ground singing.
i did like snow patrol.
Can't remember who else I saw.
I saw Snow Patrol, too, didn't really know who they were at the time. Thought they were OK, bog-standard indie really, but I did like "Run".
Now I want to see that photo. You've never published anything that anyone could legitimately take offence over - and surely a photo for the purpose of review would come under the 'fair use' policy. I'd appeal.
Kid, even though I was pretty pissed off about this ( hence the update on the post ) I really haven't got the energy or inclination to contest it. If the copyright holder really wants me to take a photo down, I'll take it down - and I do have a disclaimer on the blog to that effect. I think it's all a bit pathetic really... but a friend of mine had a similar problem over a copyrighted photo on his blog and wound up in court ( which effectively ended his blogging ) - and I don't really want to go down that road. It's just not important enough to worry about.
BTW here's the link to the original photo ( or at least one from the same photo shoot... )
