Scarecrow

A scarecrow and a yellow moon
And pretty soon
A carnival on the edge of town
..... King Harvest has surely come

I've finally got round to posting another review on t'other blog,
15 albums: my take on The Band by The Band, otherwise known as "the Brown Album", originally titled "Harvest."

Just take your muddy boots off before you sit down to read it.....

Yeah, it's on the "Peepshow" album. Well worth a listen, it's very atmospheric.

Thanks for the comment, LL!

And speaking of other artists...have you ever heard the cover version of King Harvest by The Henry Kaiser Band? Well worth seeking out. It's utterly faithful to the original while tearing the roof off it at the same time. One of my all-time favorites...and now I've got it running through my head on an endless loop! Dammit, nothing to do now but go listen to it.

SCARY! I have one of those action figures at my desk at work, but have never seen the actual episode. I think I saw the first part only and it was light on scarecrows. That's okay with me! =)

@ Richard: I've never heard that version of King Harvest - in fact I've only ever heard the original. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the tip!

@ Mickey: If you don't like scarecrows, don't watch episode 2: there's a whole army of them :-)
