I was sad today to hear that legendary film-maker David Lynch has passed away at the age of 78.
Lynch was a true original, a visionary, a goof, an artist, a dreamer of dark celluloid dreams, and the owner of a bloody fantastic haircut. I'll have to drink a mug of damn fine coffee in his honour. And I don't drink coffee.

I still remember the first time I saw Eraserhead on TV, I had no idea what was going on and felt very unsettled so switched it off after 30 minutes . I have tried to watch it twice since and on each occassion I felt very uneasy and gave up. Somehow I think that's what he would have wanted. Loved Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks. He was a true original
Hi Paul. I had more or less the same experience with Eraserhead. It's certainly unsettling, but I also found it incredibly tedious. I've definitely enjoyed other Lynch projects a lot more :-)
I feel a rewatch of Twin Peaks is way overdue.
