Is there anybody out there?

Getting just a little worried about the lack of comments on this 'ere blog lately. Has the Zombie Apocalypse / Alien Invasion / Rise Of The Machines started already? How could I have missed it? Can't think of any other reason.....

Or maybe I'm just boring you?

  1. Don't worry. All because people aren't commenting doesn't mean they aren't there.

Well, that's what I tell myself during those long empty nights of crushing silence in Cyber-Space.

  2. I believe it's a Zombie Apocalypse now. It's spreading by the latest resident evil film :)))

  6. I know - I'm late. Life's been hectic - sorry!
Didn't you check your new Google stats (available on blogger in draft) to check see if they are coming?

Yeah you're boring, less pics and more words if you please. The commenters (or lack of) are creating longer paragraphs!(Laughs)
Your word count for the last 3 posts are as follows:-
    45
    19
    34

Does this (however little) say something?

    Keep it going Simon.
    Regards
    Momo

  7. Momo, after reading your comment I don't know whether to laugh or cry:-)

It's interesting you mention Blogger's stats function. I've recently discovered my most-viewed posts are:
    http://glasswalking-stick.blogspot.com/2009/10/famke-janssen-jean-grey.html
    and
    http://glasswalking-stick.blogspot.com/2009/10/bond-babes-britt-and-maud.html

( 26 words and 126 words, respectively, with the Famke Janssen piece receiving over 900 views )

.....whereas I've recently written a couple of book and magazine reviews of 400/500 words..... to resounding silence.

So maybe pretty pictures win out over my inner musings. I do often think there's an inverse ratio between the amount of work I put into a post and the amount of comments I receive.

  8. call Frank Miller a twat. that'll get you loads of comments. works for me, every time. things go a bit quiet, post something about Frank Miller being a twat, everyone comes running back to join in the fun. easy. and it's not as if he's not, either. win-win.

  9. Hey Simon, I'm still here, although FB and Twitter take up a lot of my reading time.

  10. Joe, Matthew - thanks for the support, guys.

    "Call Frank Miller a twat"?
There must be plenty of mileage in that...

  11. I was held captive in the Pandorica and waiting for that ginger-haired temptress to save me. Or was I waiting for Cathy Gale-era Honor Blackman? Well, never mind. In the end, I had to fight my own way out and here I am! =)
