Thanks for commenting.
You're right:...Hi Bill! Thanks for commenting.

You're right: the majority of Bowie's '80s work was terrible, bland, dollar-chasing AOR. But there were the occasional great songs like Absolute Beginners ( but not the film, obviously ) and This Is Not America. ( Well... I like them... )

With hindsight, there's no way any artist could sustain the level of brilliance of Bowie's '70s work, but it's just a shame he became so... normal :-)

And, as for Labyrinth, my 16-year old daughter's a big fan of Bowie's performance. Plus most of his acting roles apart from Man Who fell To Earth and the Hunger. Labyrinth was a reasonably good film, but Bowie's acting wasn't that brilliant was it?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5470510671824637475.post-23901605278635474272012-01-09T18:41:39.890+00:002012-01-09T18:41:39.890+00:00That's funny: whenever I hear The Laughing Gno...That's funny: whenever I hear The Laughing Gnome ( when I can't avoid it )I feel physically sick :-)Simon B https://www.blogger.com/profile/07719757386457800087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5470510671824637475.post-7133089266150517202012-01-09T15:59:05.253+00:002012-01-09T15:59:05.253+00:00Best thing he ever did was the intro to The Snowma...Best thing he ever did was the intro to The Snowman.
